From 5 - 7 November HUMAN NATURE is part of Berlin Science Week 2024.
In the 'Independent Programme' of the berlin-wide festival on science communication, our 3-day special format with musical and moving performances and participative activities will take place in Großer Wasserspeicher and its neighbourhoods.

- Lecture Performance "The City as Common Good"
- Live Labs with participatory formats by The Moving Academy Berlin. They invite neighbourhoods and audiences into a sensory engagement and quest on exciting topics from deep-sea research and climate impact research, sociology and urban development. Offering a field of playful, yet relevant and sense-making exchange.

- Bring warm clothing - the water reservoir cannot be heated.
- and a torch, as some of the lighting is deliberately low (a mobile phone torch will suffice).
- Main entrance to the historic industrial monument, at street level on Belforterstr. x Straßburgerstr.
- For all performances Online ticket is required (remaining tickets at the entrance 1/2 hour before the start). The ticket is valid for 1-2 persons (Solo-Duo-Ticket) as a day ticket for all events of the respective date incl. Live Labs.
- For the Live-Labs Registration via e-mail is required (remaining tickets at the entrance).
- Please register for the labs latest 24 hours before the start of the event. If the desired event is fully booked, you will receive a message.

the Grand Water Reservoire in Prenzlauerberg is one of Berlin's most exciting spaces with unique and fantastic acoustics and an echo of up to 18 seconds. In HUMAN NATURE . c o m m o n g r o u n d performing artists activate the historic industrial monument in the heart of Prenzlauerberg as artistic and social resonance field, becoming a meeting place and common ground for neighbourhoods and current issues.
In HUMAN NATURE . r e s o n a n z, the artists compose directly with the space, its labyrinthius architecture and unique acoustic with an enormous echo of up to 18 seconds. With silence, sound, movement and light installations, impressive pieces are created ad hoc. The artists understand the historic industrial monument as an instrument itself, that they activate from the inside out. In their realtime-compositions, analogies to humanity and nature emerge. In interaction with the location, they create resonance spaces that the audience can experience as an immersion in a sensual and often unexpected world of perceptions, in which sensations and emotions, images, associations and questions can arise.
You can take part in exciting sessions and audience formats organised by The Moving Academy, Berlin. The Silent Walks,Moving Dialogues and more offer creative and playful interactions. They refine and deepen perception and experience, generate questions and stimulate reflection and exchange on relevant topics. The labs open up another resonance space with impulses from the latest findings from deep-sea research and climate impact research, crisis psychology, sociology and urban research. Facilitated by Kristín Guttenberg and Franz Holderegger
What does it mean - knowledge?
What and who creates knowledge? And what kind of knowledge? How is knowledge communicated? Our interest is: What kind of sensations, associations, reflections and questions will arise in the water reservoir, in the performance? What role does sensory experience or the environment play in the creation of knowledge? What significance does the individual experience have, what significance does the community have? What moves us together?

The audience of the performances and the participants in the live labs are invited to leave ‘traces’: for the next artistic compositions as well as for the field research on the subject of science communication, knowledge transfer and participation.

Im 'Independent Programm' des berliner Science Festivals für Wissenschaftskommunikation findet unsere 3-tägige Sonder-Ausgabe im Großen Wasserspeicher und in und mit den Nachbarschaften statt.

Sie laden Nachbarschaften und Publikum zu einer sinnlichen Auseinandersetzung mit spannenden Themen aus Tiefsee- und Klimaforschung, Soziologie und Stadtentwicklung ein. Sie bieten ein Feld des spielerischen, dabei relevanten und sinnstiftenden Austauschs.

- Für die Performances: Online Ticket erforderlich (Restkarten an der Abendkasse 1/2 Std vor Beginn). Das Ticket gilt für 1-2 Personen (Solo-Duo-Ticket) als Tagesticket für alle Veranstaltungen des jeweiligen Datums inkl. Live Labs.
- Für die Live Labs ist eine Anmeldung via E-Mail erforderlich. (Restkarten am Eingang)

In HUMAN NATURE . c o m m o n g r o u n d wird er zum künstlerischen und sozialen Resonanzraum, zum Treffpunkt und Common Ground für Künstler:innen, Nachbarschaften und aktuelle Themen.

In HUMAN NATURE . r e s o n a n z komponiert das Performer:innen Ensemble direkt mit dem Raum, seinem enormen Echo und der einzigartigen Architektur. Mit Stille, Sound und Klang, Bewegung und Lichtinstallationen entstehen ad hoc eindrückliche Stücke. Die Performer:innen verstehen das historische Industriedenkmal wie ein Instrument, das sie von innen heraus aktivieren. In ihren Kompositionen in Echtzeit entstehen Analogien zu Themen von Mensch und Natur. Im Zusammenspiel mit dem Ort erzeugen sie wirkungsvolle Resonanzräume, die das Publikum als ein Eintauchen in eine sinnliche und oft unerwartete Welt von Wahrnehmungen erlebt, in der Empfindungen und Emotionen, Bilder, Assoziationen und Fragen entstehen können.

Interessierte können sich an spannenden Sessions und Publikumsformaten von The Moving Academy Berlin beteiligen. Die Silent Walks, Moving Dialogues und mehr bieten kreative und spielerische Interaktionen. Sie verfeinern und vertiefen die Wahrnehmung und das Erleben, erzeugen Fragen und regen Reflexionen und Austausch zu relevanten Themen an. Die Labs öffnen einen weiteren Resonanz-Raum mit Impulsen aus neuesten Forschungs-Erkenntnissen aus Tiefseeforschung und Klimafolgenforschung, Krisenpsychologie, Soziologie und Stadtentwicklung. Mit Kristín Guttenberg und Franz Holderegger.
Was heisst Wissen?
Was und wer schafft Wissen? Und welche Art von Wissen? Wie wird Wissen vermittelt?
Uns interessiert: Was für Empfindungen, Assoziationen, Reflexionen und Fragen werden entstehen im Wasserspeicher, in der Performance?
Welche Rolle spielt das sinnliche Erleben oder die Umgebung in der Entstehung von Wissen? Welche Bedeutung hat das individuelle Erleben, welche die Gemeinschaft? Was bewegt uns gemeinsam?
